StrimoIPTV: IPTV setup on your devices

StrimoIPTV setup comes down to two steps on most devices: install a player app, then sign in with the login from your welcome email. Step-by-step guides below, and the team helps on WhatsApp 24/7 if you get stuck.

Before you start

StrimoIPTV: what you need for IPTV setup

Setting up StrimoIPTV takes four things and no technician. The email you get after ordering your StrimoIPTV subscription has the most important one; get these four ready:

  • Your StrimoIPTV welcome email: your server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), plus an M3U link, sent once your order is confirmed on WhatsApp and paid (check your spam or junk folder too). MAG boxes are activated with the box's MAC address and a portal URL instead
  • A compatible device: Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV and Fire TV Cube, Android phones, tablets, TV boxes and Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Hisense VIDAA Smart TVs, Formuler boxes, MAG boxes or Chromecast. For a device that isn't on this list, ask the team on WhatsApp before ordering
  • A stable internet connection. On a TV, a cable (Ethernet) is usually steadier than Wi-Fi, especially for 4K
  • A player app for your device: XCIPTV or IBO Player Pro on a Fire TV Stick, UHF, IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple devices, and the others listed below

How does IPTV work?

IPTV brings TV over your internet connection, with no cable box, satellite dish or installation appointment. The ITU defines it as "multimedia services such as television/video/audio/text/graphics/data delivered over IP-based networks". StrimoIPTV provides the live channels and the on-demand shows and films; your player app displays them. No app provides content on its own: you need a StrimoIPTV subscription.

Source: ITU (International Telecommunication Union), “IPTV-JCA Terms of Reference”

You sign in to the app once with your server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), plus an M3U link, and it loads everything: live channels, on-demand shows and films, and the TV guide (EPG) for the next 2–3 days.

Apps

StrimoIPTV: which IPTV player for your device?

StrimoIPTV has no app of its own: you watch in a third-party player, such as XCIPTV, IBO Player or IPTV Smarters, and sign in with your StrimoIPTV login. These are the players StrimoIPTV's own guides name for each device.

Install safely: StrimoIPTV tips

  • Install apps only from your device's official app store, or from the APK link the StrimoIPTV team sends you: never from an unknown site.
  • "Apps from Unknown Sources" is needed only to install a player outside the app store (with Downloader on a Fire TV Stick, for example): you can switch it off again once your player is installed.
  • Never post your password or your login details in a public message or a screenshot.
  • No player app provides content on its own: the channels come from your StrimoIPTV subscription. StrimoIPTV has no app of its own; these are third-party players, and none is included with a plan. Some player apps charge their own licence, paid to the app developer, not to StrimoIPTV.
Amazon Fire TV Stick · Fire TV · Fire TV Cube

StrimoIPTV: IPTV for Firestick (Fire TV Stick)

On an Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV or Fire TV Cube, StrimoIPTV's guide uses XCIPTV or IBO Player Pro: from the app store, or with Downloader and the APK link the team sends you on WhatsApp. Then you sign in with the login from your welcome email.

  1. From the Home screen, go to Find → Search and look for XCIPTV or IBO Player Pro. If it's there, install it and skip to step 5.
  2. Not in the store? Install Downloader from the same search, and ask the team on WhatsApp for the player's APK link.
  3. Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources" so Downloader can install the player.
  4. Open Downloader, enter the APK link from the team, and install the player.
  5. Open the player from your Apps list. Choose the Xtream Codes login and enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email. Type them in rather than pasting: they're case-sensitive, and the server URL starts with http:// or https://. Your player may take the M3U link from the same email instead.
  6. Wait for the channels and the TV guide to load. The first load of the TV guide (EPG) can take a while.

Some player apps charge their own licence, paid to the app developer, not to StrimoIPTV. Ask the team on WhatsApp if you get stuck.

MAG boxes

  1. Send the box's MAC address to the team on WhatsApp with your order, for activation.
  2. On the box, open Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
  3. Enter a name in Portal 1 Name (for example StrimoIPTV) and the portal URL the team gives you in Portal 1 URL, then save.
  4. For correct TV guide times, set an NTP server such as pool.ntp.org in the box's server settings.

Troubleshooting

StrimoIPTV: common IPTV setup problems and fixes

The six most common cases. Still stuck? Message the team on WhatsApp, 24/7, with your device, your player app and what you've already tried (never your password).

The picture stutters or buffers

Use an Ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi if you can, close apps running in the background, and restart the device and your router. If it keeps stuttering, watch in HD rather than 4K.

"Invalid login" when signing in

Type each field by hand, exactly as in your email: usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, and a space before or after breaks them. The server URL starts with http:// or https://.

No channels are loading

Refresh the playlist in the app's settings, restart the app, or remove the login and add it again from scratch. Still nothing? Try another device or player app.

The TV guide is empty or wrong

Refresh the EPG in the player and give the first load time. Set the device's date and time to automatic. Signing in with Xtream Codes gives a better TV guide than the M3U link; on a MAG box, set an NTP server such as pool.ntp.org.

The app keeps crashing

Update the app and the device's software, or uninstall and reinstall the app. If it still crashes, try another of the players listed for your device.

Watching on a new device

Your StrimoIPTV login: use the same login on your devices; the plan sets how many can watch at the same time. Plans cover 1 to 5 devices at once; you choose the number when you order on WhatsApp.

FAQ

StrimoIPTV: your questions about IPTV setup

How do I set up IPTV on a Firestick?

Search the Fire TV app store for XCIPTV or IBO Player Pro and install it. If it isn't there, install Downloader, turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources" in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options, and use the APK link the team sends you. Open the player, choose the Xtream Codes login and type in the server URL, username and password from your StrimoIPTV welcome email.

How do I set up IPTV on my Smart TV?

On Samsung or LG, install IBO Player or IPTV Smarters from the TV's app store; on Hisense VIDAA, Hot Player. Open the app and add your StrimoIPTV login (Xtream Codes or the M3U link). Formuler boxes already have MyTVOnline; MAG boxes use a portal URL from the team after MAC activation.

Which IPTV player should I use?

StrimoIPTV's guides name XCIPTV or IBO Player Pro on Fire TV Stick and Android; UHF, IBO Player or IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple devices; IBO Player or IPTV Smarters on Samsung and LG; MyTVOnline on Formuler; Hot Player on Hisense VIDAA. StrimoIPTV has no app of its own: these are third-party players. Some player apps charge their own licence, paid to the app developer, not to StrimoIPTV.

How long does IPTV setup take?

There's no fixed time: it depends on your device and player. Installing a player and typing in your login are short steps; the first load of the TV guide (EPG) can take a while, and a MAG box waits for the team to activate its MAC address.

What formats does the login come in?

StrimoIPTV supports Xtream Codes, M3U, MAG portal and Enigma2. Your welcome email has your server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), plus an M3U link. Xtream Codes gives a better TV guide than M3U in most players; MAG boxes use the portal.

Where do I find my StrimoIPTV login?

Your server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), plus an M3U link are sent by email once your order is confirmed on WhatsApp and paid; check your spam or junk folder too. Can't find them? Message the team on WhatsApp.

How ordering works

Does StrimoIPTV work on a device that isn't listed?

Ask the team on WhatsApp before ordering. The supported devices are Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV and Fire TV Cube, Android phones, tablets, TV boxes and Nvidia Shield, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Hisense VIDAA Smart TVs, Formuler boxes, MAG boxes and Chromecast; for a device that isn't on this list, the team checks a working method with you first.

Do I need a VPN for IPTV?

A VPN is not required; if a VPN causes connection problems, switch it off first.

Can I use it on several devices?

Yes: use the same login on your devices; the plan sets how many can watch at the same time. Plans cover 1 to 5 devices; you choose the number when you order.

See the plans

Is an IPTV app enough to watch TV?

No. A player app only shows what your subscription provides: it has no channels of its own. You need a StrimoIPTV subscription; to test first, ask for the 24-hour free trial on WhatsApp (no payment needed, one per household).

Do I need a satellite dish or extra hardware for StrimoIPTV?

No: there's no cable box, satellite dish or installation appointment to install. StrimoIPTV streams over your internet connection to the device you already own.
