StrimoIPTV M3U Playlist and Xtream Codes Login Guide

Your StrimoIPTV login e-mail gives you more than one way to sign in: an Xtream Codes login and an M3U playlist link, and MAG boxes use a portal instead. This guide explains what each format is, which one to use on which device, how MAG and Enigma2 boxes fit in, and how to get a complete IPTV EPG (TV guide) on screen.
The four StrimoIPTV login formats at a glance
StrimoIPTV supports four formats. They all open the same subscription; they're just different ways for different devices and players to sign in.
| Format | What you get | Typical devices |
|---|---|---|
| Xtream Codes | A server URL, a username and a password | Fire TV, Android, Apple devices, Samsung and LG TVs, Formuler, Hisense VIDAA |
| M3U playlist | One playlist link | Players that ask for a "playlist URL" instead of a login |
| MAG portal | A portal URL, tied to the box's MAC address | MAG boxes |
| Enigma2 | Set up with the team | Enigma2 receivers |
When you order on WhatsApp, the team confirms your plan and how to pay. The login then arrives by e-mail: the server URL, username and password for Xtream Codes, plus the M3U link. If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder. MAG boxes work differently, as explained below.
What Xtream Codes is
Xtream Codes is a login format. Instead of a long playlist address, the player asks for three short fields:
- Server URL, which looks like
http://example-server:port(yours is in the e-mail; this one is only a placeholder); - Username;
- Password.
With those three fields, the player asks the server for everything on your account: live channels, on-demand shows and films, and the TV guide. That's why the StrimoIPTV setup guide uses the Xtream Codes login on nearly every device, from a Fire TV Stick to an iPhone.
Why Xtream Codes is the first choice
- One login loads everything. Live TV, movies, series and the EPG come in together, already sorted into categories.
- A better TV guide. The guide is more complete with Xtream Codes than with the M3U link.
- Fewer typing errors. Three short fields are easier to enter on a TV remote than one long address.
Type each field exactly as written: they're case-sensitive, and a space before or after a field causes an "invalid login" error. The server URL starts with http:// or https://.
What an M3U playlist is
An M3U playlist is a single web address that points to a list of channels and streams. Players that don't offer an Xtream Codes option usually have a "playlist URL" or "M3U URL" field instead; you paste the StrimoIPTV M3U link from your e-mail there, give the playlist a name, and the player loads the channel list.
An M3U playlist link is a login in its own right, so treat it like a password: don't post it in a group, a forum or a screenshot.
When to use the M3U playlist
Use the M3U link when:
- your player only offers a playlist URL option;
- a TV version of a player asks for an M3U link rather than a username and password;
- you want to add the subscription to a player quickly by pasting one address, for example on a phone.
If your player offers both, choose Xtream Codes. If you use the M3U link and your player asks for a separate EPG address, message the team on WhatsApp before you fill anything in.
Which StrimoIPTV format to use on each device
| Device | Players named in the guide | Sign in with |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Fire TV Stick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube | XCIPTV, IBO Player Pro | Xtream Codes |
| Android phones, tablets, TV boxes, Nvidia Shield | XCIPTV, IBO Player Pro | Xtream Codes |
| Apple TV, iPhone, iPad | UHF, IBO Player, IPTV Smarters Pro | Xtream Codes |
| Samsung and LG Smart TVs | IBO Player, IPTV Smarters | Xtream Codes, or the M3U link if the app asks for it |
| Formuler boxes | MyTVOnline (pre-installed) | Xtream Codes, or the M3U link |
| Hisense VIDAA Smart TVs | Hot Player | Xtream Codes, or the M3U link |
| MAG boxes | None, built-in portal | Portal URL + MAC address |
StrimoIPTV has no app of its own: these are third-party players, and some charge their own licence, paid to the developer. For device-by-device steps, see the setup page, our Firestick guide and our IPTV Smarters Pro guide.
MAG boxes: portal URL and MAC address
A MAG box needs no app and no username or password. It's activated with its MAC address and a portal URL:
- Find the MAC address on the sticker under the box or in its settings, and send it to the team on WhatsApp with your order.
- On the box, open Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
- Enter a name in Portal 1 Name and the portal URL the team gives you in Portal 1 URL (a placeholder looks like
http://example-portal:port; use only the one you're given), then save. - For correct guide times, set an NTP server such as pool.ntp.org in the box's server settings.
- Restart the portal. The channels and the TV guide load.
Because the account is tied to the MAC address, a new MAG box needs its own MAC address sent to the StrimoIPTV team.
Enigma2 receivers
Enigma2 is one of the formats StrimoIPTV supports, for satellite-style receivers that run Enigma2. Setup on these boxes depends on the model and the software installed on it, so tell the StrimoIPTV team on WhatsApp which receiver you have before you order, and they'll say how to add the subscription to it.
Getting a complete IPTV EPG with StrimoIPTV
The EPG (electronic program guide) is the TV guide grid: what's on now and next on each channel. It's included with every StrimoIPTV plan and shows the current and upcoming programs for the next 2–3 days. If yours is empty, late or shows the wrong times, work through these steps:
- Give the first load time. The guide can take a while to fill the first time a player loads it.
- Refresh the EPG in the player's settings. Most players have an "update EPG" or "refresh TV guide" option.
- Set the device's date and time to automatic. A wrong clock or time zone shifts the whole guide by hours.
- Sign in with Xtream Codes rather than the M3U link: the guide is more complete that way.
- On a MAG box, set an NTP server such as pool.ntp.org.
Still no guide? Remove the login from the player, add it again, and let the EPG load from scratch. The team answers on WhatsApp 24/7 if it still doesn't show.
One login on several devices
You use the same StrimoIPTV login, Xtream Codes or M3U, on all your devices; the plan sets how many can watch at the same time, from 1 to 5. Plans are paid once in US dollars, with no auto-renewal, no contract and no hidden fees: on one device, $13.99 for 1 month, $34.99 for 3 months, $59.99 for 6 months, $99.99 for 12 months or $169.99 for 24 months. The prices for 2 to 5 devices are on the subscription page.
Conclusion: the right StrimoIPTV format for your device
For almost every device, the Xtream Codes login from your StrimoIPTV e-mail is the one to use: it loads channels, on-demand titles and the fullest TV guide in one go. Keep the M3U playlist link for players that only ask for a playlist URL, send your MAC address for a MAG box, and ask the team about Enigma2. To try the formats on your own screen first, ask for the 24-hour free trial on WhatsApp, with no payment and one per household, then choose a plan on the subscription page.
FAQ
What is an M3U playlist?
An M3U playlist is a single web address that points to a list of channels and streams. You paste it into a player's playlist or M3U URL field, and the player loads the channels. Your StrimoIPTV e-mail includes one.
What is Xtream Codes?
Xtream Codes is an IPTV login format made of a server URL, a username and a password. Players use it to load live channels, on-demand titles and the TV guide together, which is why our setup guide uses it on most devices.
How do I get Xtream Codes?
Xtream Codes details come from your provider, not from a player app. With StrimoIPTV, you order on WhatsApp and the server URL, username and password arrive by e-mail; if you ask for the 24-hour free trial, the team sets it up for you on WhatsApp.
Is Xtream Codes better than an M3U playlist?
When your player offers both, yes: Xtream Codes gives a better TV guide, loads everything in one go and is easier to type with a remote. Use the M3U link when the player only offers a playlist URL.
What is an M3U URL?
It's the address of your M3U playlist. In a player, choose the option to add a playlist (often called "M3U URL" or "playlist URL"), give it a name, paste the link from your e-mail and save, then wait for the channels to load.
What is EPG in IPTV, and how do I get it on my TV?
The EPG is the on-screen TV guide: what's on now and next on each channel. It loads with your login; if it's empty, give the first load time, refresh the EPG in the player, set the device's date and time to automatic, and prefer the Xtream Codes login.
